To strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia’s renewable energy and carbon markets, RECCESSARY—the green energy and carbon intelligence platform under research firm InfoLink—announced on July 4 that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Vietnam Clean Energy Association (VCEA).

The agreement outlines multi-faceted cooperation in areas such as sustainable energy development, market insights, and event organization. This partnership marks RECCESSARY’s official entry into the Vietnamese market and aims to provide enterprises with firsthand, expert information on ASEAN’s green energy and carbon trading developments.

RECCESSARY expands into Vietnam, driving cross-border knowledge exchange

Since its establishment, RECCESSARY has focused on tracking green policy shifts, energy transition developments, and carbon market dynamics across the Asia-Pacific region. The platform aims to support businesses in understanding regional trends and formulating decarbonization strategies.

Through its partnership with VCEA, RECCESSARY will initiate collaboration via Taiwan–Vietnam knowledge exchange, content co-production, and joint events, paving the way for deeper dissemination of clean energy information, policy dialogue, and market connectivity.

VCEA plays a key role in advancing clean energy and sustainable development in Vietnam, with a mission to boost the adoption of renewable energy. The association comprises hundreds of domestic and international members and frequently offers policy recommendations in the renewable energy sector.

Three core areas set under MOU: Content, events, policy

The two-year MOU outlines collaboration in three main areas. First, content and information sharing—covering co-produced feature reports, data exchange, and trend insights to better understand Vietnam’s renewable energy policies and market landscape. Second, joint forums and regional exchange events to foster stakeholder engagement. Third, policy advocacy, including releasing white papers and reports to enhance knowledge exchange in energy and carbon market policymaking.

The agreement follows Vietnam’s April amendment to its Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8), which significantly increases the role of renewables while phasing out coal as a primary power source. Under the plan, Vietnam aims to boost non-hydro renewable power generation to 28–36% by 2030 and 75% by 2050, while expanding power exports to 5–10 GW by 2035.

RECCESSARY will continue to provide businesses with critical insights for local investment and decarbonizing supply chains, positioning itself as a vital bridge between Taiwanese and Asia-Pacific enterprises and the fast-evolving Vietnamese energy market.
